Let’s Welcome the Newcomers

Updated on April 25, 2012

Who are the Green aliens?

Source

Stepping outside they smelled smoke

This is the 25th poem for April, Celebrating National Poetry Month.

Stepping outside they smelled smoke

Looking into the sky whence it came

Destruction of land seen from afar

Newcomers were to blame

Ashes of the deceased were spread about

As the green ones appeared from the hiding places

Then they reached for the sun

On the deceased ground

Wishing things weren’t as they appear

At the funeral of their peers

Without them here they felt lost and alone

It happened so quick their minds were blown

As the peculiar beasts of beauty and grace

As they appeared from their hiding place

They couldn’t believe it, it didn’t seem true

And so they seem so blue

Now they sit under the stars

Waiting for their hearts to mend

Aliens Galore

Source

Waiting for the aliens to take the next step

Reaching for the words of wisdom

Are they ready to die so young?

Violent blows throughout the night

Days of fighting not feeling right

They were much needed fracture of light

In the darkened skies

The endless stars that blanket the heavens

The tormenting storms

The shaky ground beneath their feet

The shameful nightmares that were to come

The war raged on and on and on

Then winter fell upon the fields.

White covering the grey

The blood spattered everywhere

Endless bodies filled the lands

No hope and despair was in their hearts

He Is coming!

Source

Until one day in the clouds

Seen by all far and wide

The Savior and His white Stallion

Destination to the seashore, where the tide is low

There gatherings all to come

Only one pursue came to mind

Not to be left behind

‘Look at me Look at me’

Was the cry from so many!

There were so many their hearts were of stone

There were many that turned away

Then there were those that fell to their knees

Hoping upon hope that they would be

Just knowing His name wasn’t enough

Lips that cried ‘I want to Know”

The God of Creation

Was here to stay

The Green Newcomers had to go.
