A lovers trap

Updated on August 18, 2013
Source

Once upon a humble soul,

a lovers trap was laid

in the sweetest place of all.

a magic.. grassy glade

Sown with a power, meaning

to entice, like magic lines,

sweet purple grapes

of the darkest vines

Love is a masterpiece...

so refined

images like words...themselves

often go... undefined

Beware .. the histories

are wretched and confused

many souls were enthralled ..

but left often..broken and bruised

At your mercy... in the blink of an eye

mounting heaps, of devotion will fly

so fast and full, of sharp rewards

words that cut, like dull glass shards

Sweet beauty ..

what is your name

in the eye of the beholder

is where... you play your game

When, what we see ..

doth seek to deceive,

all your tricks..of love

hidden... up your sleeve

A trail of broken hearts

lie in your wake,

you play and toy ..

and leave nothing to partake ..

Ah, thank you precious one. I think we must be on the same mindset this day, as I have just written one along the same lines, sort of : ).

Well, I have been a bit sad too here this week with my sweet granddaughter having to have surgery from a terrible fall and they are saying she may not regain full use of her left arm. Just breaks my heart and I have been up nights praying with no sleep. Just the thought of that sweet little girl in pain breaks my heart. So, I have been a bit sad and needed to remind myself of God's love and trust in His healing power, as I know He can heal.

      Stay out of those traps!

      God bless, Faith Reaper

Wow, Michael, this is powerful here! Really good one. Fantastic imagery too.

Yes, as the songs goes, "A pretty face ... doesn't make a pretty heart." Well, the song actually states .."don't make no pretty heart." ...

      Voted up ++++ and sharing

      Hugs, Faith Reaper
