LOVING ON JESUS BY MADDIE BOO
“Look mom; look at those crosses, they, ‘ARE LOVING’ on Jesus!”
Maddie Boo exclaimed because she was so excited while speaking to her mom.
Her mom looked at where she was pointing out the window of the car. It was Veterans Day and the city had put up little crosses to honor the veterans of the military.
Gina smiled, and said “yes they ‘ARE LOVING’ on Jesus.”
Special words from a five year old little girl;
GOD’S MERCY and the Cross.
What is so awesome is this little girl understands what most adults do not. She has a beautiful shining light in her little soul and it shines through her face and her words that she speaks.
Sunday school is her favorite thing to do. She is a favorite at church, she is an awesome child.
Driving with our Maddie Boo in the back seat I look at her in my mirror and I am so proud. Then I start thinking of our little one growing up and leaving the nest. My heart starts to break. I keep thinking ‘enjoy her while you can.’
2 CHRONICLES 6:41 let your saints rejoice in goodness.
Lovely as they come
Her love is so mighty
Burns with a passion of life
She is our little one
That has stolen our heart
The sun turns
When Maddie is here
And shines bright along her way
The sweet stars follow her
What a sweet beauty is she!
She will spread her wings
I pray the prayer
Of protection you see
That this beloved sight
The blessing to God
As she is for me!
Or Maddie Boo that we call her too.
Delighted in blessing
Maddie Boo I say to her, “you know you are God’s masterpiece? “
She smiles so sweetly and says “Jesus is the Masterpiece.”
What a star this one is.
“Thank you Lord, for the reminder to enjoy the children while they’re still here,” I sing.
One day Maddie and her sister and brother were playing very loudly; my nerves were getting the best of me, when I asked very loudly “can you take this somewhere else?”
I’ll never forget Maddie’s response “of course we can,” she said, “but you will not notice us if we do.”
Of my I could have cried. What a failure I am to these children they are smarter than I am.
I hugged them all and told them to keep playing and I was sorry I did not notice them like I should.
Too often, I realize, I take God’s good efforts for granted too. Sunshine, flowers, friends, Love and our children:
“God, would YOU get my attention when our kids are enjoying each other so that I can tell them how much it pleases me? And Lord, I praise YOU for all YOUR wonderful blessing to me that I so easily overlook.”
My advice everyone “DO SOMETHING SPECIAL WITH YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN TODAY!”
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says… To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven
