Poem: Mind Trip
Let me enter into your mind
Search for your deepest thoughts
Unlock your hidden dreams
Visit the places that make you who you are
What's one to find in this great mind?
Are you afraid to let anyone know?
Where should I begin in this long awaited journey into your home?
Don't worry, I'll tread lightly
I won't run, jump, or stomp around
Don't want to destroy the garden so secret in such a beautiful mind
But please, keep your flowers in the attic no more
I'll be gentle while exploring the grace behind your giving, the love behind your smile, the strength behind your standing, the waiting child you used to be
The person you used to see
I want to know what fuels your every belief
Let me into your maze, help you clear all the haze keeping you blocked from growing
Stay stagnant no more, but you must first open the door and let me in
To help you break the dams of prohibition
I promise I won't play with your delicate thoughts
Allow me passage to your soul
Not for control, but for gain
I want access to your every chord string
I want to hear the song your soul sings
Your song too beautiful for no one to hear
Let me help you make your song loud, playing it proud and clear
I'll be your muse if you just can't draw from without
Hoping to spark a fire from within
Burning bright, spreading fast through your bones,
Causing a blaze consuming your soul
Until all that remains, is the shining of a great mind like gold
