Never To Tired To Think

Updated on April 20, 2011

Let The Words Come Out

When I am relaxed so are my thoughts

I had another good day

Many might say it was boring and not filled with excitement

I think the opposite

I have so many things going on in my mind I can't take them all in

My day is over and finally I have time to review my day in its entirety

From begining to end

Leaving out nothing

Like a road race that races to the finish line

There can only be one winner and the rest have to come in some where after that

I had a good seven and a half hours sleep leading into the day

So my body seemed well rested

I ate three meals and a few snacks

I had to work and it was steady to slow

There were no great changes in work or anything out of the ordinary during the day

It rained and weather was cool

Where is all the good hiding

Is life just that only a series of days with numbers

Can we learn to draw out the best like a painter does with his paint brush

Bringing out the vibrant colors and shadows that make everything come to life

It is sad if we just see our life in black and white

Nothing but two colors that leave us wanting for more

This is one day of many that served its purpose

It is the filler of life that we don't always notice

Over the years it helps fill in the gaps where endless empty spaces would go

So even the most hum drum of days have there place

Making life bearable and gives us time to catch our breath

Waiting for the next big event to happen

Like a cat patiently waiting for his can of food to be opened

You don't know what excitement it can bring

Until the snap of the lid and the swoosh sound that follows

Then the cat comes running like lightning has struck

To bring on new life that we don't see

Making the simplest things the most incredible treasures

Maybe we could learn to look at our life the same way

Finding a thrill in just eating would be a start

Then who knows what can happen

We can find amusement in little things like tying our shoes

So we would never be bored and remember this day as special

Not just one more day that blends in with all the others

Like a can of paint where different paint colors mix together and soon you only have one hideous color

Make it a day that has zing and leaves us hanging upside down from a tree limb
