Poetry of Peace and Beauty

Updated on August 28, 2011

Dusk Delight

The soaked sand from the salty ocean flames like gold with the sinking sun

The gold is rich with flamboyant tones which will soon transcend to the harvest moon

The dunes pulsate with the rhythm beat of the crashing waves

The fiddler crabs climb to the sands surface in anticipation of the dancing stars

Dancing with delight of the fresh accelerated breeze

The roses tucker in tight to prepare for the approaching storm

Drops begin to fall from the rich milky clouds

Pouring chocolate desserts to the dancing petals below

Distinctly each petal is a ray of pure harmony, so crisp and clean gives to Peace and Hope

And snowy white these bands layer themselves upon one another surrounding a mighty perfumed sun

Instantly love is given when embraced by this wonderful perfection. The sign of affection is its truest reward.

So no doubt the Daisy is a gift of life that know only happiness

Yes this is the finest reward

Sunset I

Ruffled sunburst pink chatters across the sky

The horizon glows with its magnificent hues

Pastel pinks lay across the islands of clouds

Its smoothness is as choppy as dissipated pilot's wing-tale

Sunset II

From rusty red to velvet blue, the sky is draped with a colorful hue

Highlighted with florescent lights that warm the heart and make the mind content

Moonlight Madness

What magnificent motion

The motion of the moon

Filled with imposing potion

Potion of undeniable force

Force that steers our soul

Up the trail to everlasting happiness

Embrace the celestial beauty

Each night the beauty surpasses the night before

For each day in our life should surpass the one before

The Lady Bug

With its soft subtle sweetness

The Lady Bug lands with a flare of grace

The fire of her skin burns deeper than the sun with alarming color

The perfect pattern of black dots down her back

She sweeps along my fingers with magnificent elegance

And just as wonderful as she landed she sails away with the wind

Tranquil steps under the light

Turn to giant leaps of hostile at dark

Peace is a metaphor in similar patterns

We the world hold the candle

It burns with fury to the end of its wick

Light is a beautiful thing

The darkness only glorifies it

A light so pure and calm

Will slow the flaming candle

To a spark of enduring hope and unity

Flight in Freedom

Feeling full of fun

Soaring smoothly under the moon and sun

All soul, body, and mind in line

Bullets with racing powers

Excite the heart and make the mind a natural wilderness

Above the birds eye view shows peace

Peace and happiness shine through every last bursting flame of sunlight

Dare to drop below back to Earth where the perfect peace is harnessed by man's desire

Your poems have captured the awesome beauty and perfect peace that can be found in nature when we allow ourselves to be fully aware of our surroundings. Voted up, awesome, beautiful and interesting.

This is a collection of poems I wrote about 15 years ago while I was in architecture school. I kept sketch books each semester but most pages were filled with poems, inspirational writing and sketches of course. I do love working in healthcare now however I really miss expressing my creative side.
