Poem - jesus was being a brat

Updated on September 24, 2013

Intro

Religiously oriented poems ;-) ...for a brief interlude I am going to tease the religious, the christians, the catholics and other latter day pseudo right wing fascists...

.

______________________________________________

jesus was being a brat

I'm the son of god

and I'll park my donkey where I want

the donkey wasn't much better

ironically it had a drink problem

and an eddie murphy complex

it was staggeringly funny

yet remained a holy person's ass

this juxtaposition was entertaining

when they were both drunk

especially to non believers (mostly Arabs) in their vicinity

.

I can’t get enough of your poems Darx,

All of them are hitting the reader over the head, under the belt and right on the gut.

And that is what major art does.

Keep those great poems coming, Darx; I will be following you every step of the way

thanks very much Jimmy, I suppose that is key and maybe even the job of poetry, the bite, the questions and maybe even answers... I think is it best to try and leave the answer up to the reader but it is hard to keep opinions out of poems.

      Thanks Jimmy....

It took me a while Drax, at first I thought this was funny, but there is a bite to it too, yes you are the only person I know on hubpages who can be interprated as creating serious humor poetry, it seems to me like a subliminal message the questions are being asked in your poetry, but the answer is there too you just have to look hard enough, thanks.....jimmy

      Hey, Jenny,

thanks for the comment, it's great about your poetry, I must go over and read it, an Irish poet, Paula Meehan, said;-

"...poetry is the last refuge of the bewildered... "

glad you could join us *laughs* ...I'll email you about the revenue aspects... Drax

      Hey, Drax,

I tripped over you commenting on "linkworthy Hubs" - I know, I am behind the times, but i only just joined!

Anyway, I hadn't thought of posting poems before, but you have inspired me! I've just posted a couple of my own.

I'll enjoy browsing through your back catalogue ...

      Jenny

P.S. Do Hubs with poems generate much revenue from advertising or Amazon?

djtphn1 thanks very much, hey you need a little book for your poetry, writing poetry is a job so you need your poetry tools with you at all times... it is like snow ploughing in winter...

oh my gosh, that is too funny....what a way with words...I just put a poem on hubpages....the first one I have tried to put on here...most of mine are stuffed into journals and on little pieces of paper that I occasionally find laying around...anyways, I did not realize you were such the poet.

Drax, were you watching SHREK in secret, without telling us? lol I'm not entirely sure what this poem means but I bookmarked it and will see what my perspective is tomorrow when I view it again. Thanks for sharing.

When I read your hubs I have to think really hard! Some hubs, I say "Oh yeah, okay" But with yours, I say "Whoa...let me think about this - twice."
