There's no greater way to express imagination; if I can't sketch you, let me paint you with words.

"A room without books is like a body without a soul."

Have you thought what your next reading material would be? Perhaps, you are struggling to choose between an archade of good stuff in the library and the overwhelming prices at the bookstore. Well, if that is the case, problem is solved.

In this article I will share to you my personal reading pick. Since I was ten, I have been reading novels and other knowledgeable materials, I had an equal share between the bad and good stuff. Recently, I added a new material to my shelf, I admired it and I recommend that you read it too.

Why love this book

  1. The material is easy to read and understand
  2. No boring pages since it consist only of ten marvelous poems
  3. It is well-written, no typos nor errors
  4. The author is master of her work
  5. It doesn't hurt your pocket
  6. It cuts off your boring days
  7. It makes you fall inlove with poetry even more
  8. Anyone can relate to it
  9. It contains a story that you can share to your peers or family members
  10. You can learn lessons which you can apply in real-life

A quick peek

"Father, forgive me, for we are born to a country that denies us, at the end, a piece of land to call a burial ground."

Symphatetic and melancholic as it sounds, Bitar ushers her readers unto a world of pain, suffering, and bloodshed from the madness of the external world. She talks about the heartache of losing a family, the maltreatment of the enemy, and the defiance of the country.

This issue serves as a requiem of her homeland, the memories that she repressed for years and tried to overcome. If you are a fan of dramatic poetry, this is the perfect choice for you.

Behind the shade of our past memories, certain emotions are left hidden especially those times when we experienced the roughness of destiny. In her book, Rana Bitar illustrated her family's past life through the lines of each poem.

The book is composed of ten heartfelt pieces telling various set of emotions to the audience. The author used a first-person narrative which is very effective way of connecting with the readers.

The message was delivered concise and clear. Personally, I loved them all because it striked me to the bones. When I learned that the author has been through a lot of struggle and pain yet she still kicks and lead a successful life as a medicine expert as well as a literature graduate, I instantly fell in love.

The brutal truth about the war broke my heart. It is very sad that she had lost her family due to the merciless conviction and slavery of the enemy. I must say, I enjoyed this reading experience.

The book is worth the time and dough, I promise you that.

Final word

I hope I solved your confusion. Since it's almost vacation time, you can create a new hobby, if you are not into reading yet. Consider this as a gift to yourself so that you can enjoy the season in a unique way.

Remember, do not settle for the good when there is something better. Have a good time reading.
