Remorse

Updated on December 29, 2012

Reminiscing

Tattered fabrics

Of memories forlorn

Of blood long gone

Menacing loneliness

Unforgiving

Unforgiving

Torturous furnaces

Of gloom condescending

Of doom overlapping

Heartlessly stone

Agonizing

Unholy acts

Of unwinding life

Of disintegrating soul

Demonic pacts

Terrorizing

Due penances

Of disloyal camaraderie

Of zealous treachery

He mourned

It sure cannot Sir Rajan.... but if such remorse can spread... can make others feel.... then perhaps.. day by day.,.. we may reach a rescue for ourselves...

      Thanks for your kind visit

Beautiful poem Rahul, but just wondering if remorse can set right unholy acts....bring back a life...normalize a life torn to shreds...bring back the natural laughter of a child...just sharing some thoughts this morning.

Thanks for sharing much more of the worlds negativity, hopefully it shall all be put to a swift end by the wrath of God in 2013, I hate negativity and it needs to all go away once and for all. The end :)

Your poetry always packs a powerful punch, yet I sense the morbidness on each poetic line, I just hope you have not gotten consumed by such happenings, occurrences, or terminology that lurks in the atmosphere of worldly literature.

God bless Rahul, we love ya bro & may you have a wonderful and glorious 2013 if at all possible.

Rahul - Not sure if this makes you feel better but I found this so completely relateable. That being sais, please let me know how you ae doing. I haven't read anything on here from you lately and I truly know how unfair people can be. Some take such advantage of us when we are only attempting to see good in everyone.

Please let me know and I send many prayers and blessing your way.

Rahul, my brother, it's been a while since I've seen something new from you. I have to admit I'm worried. Are you OK? I know you have an ugly past, but the beauty of your soul carried your through. Grab onto who you are today and try to leave the demons behind. They will win if they continue to have a piece of you.

      Your loving sis,

      Sha

Wow Rahul... your words are beautifully expressed; even though they are about a horrible , and shameful ugliness

It is sometimes such an ugly world we live in, and we must expose it to the light

      God bless you

I cannot take anymore of this ugly, disgusting man's inhumanity to man! We are culling our own kind - WHEN are we going to understand this? Guilt? I feel guilt just to be a part of what is supposed to be a civilized world - yet has nothing even close to resembling 'humanity'!

I'm very sorry, my friend - for the troubles in your country! It seems very few countries are unscathed of late. All i can say is - God Bless Canada...(so far..sigh..)

i felt the angry passion in every word - and will vote and share forward!

Rahul, the darkness of this poem is disturbing and your comment about every man in your country carrying guilt equally disturbing. If you speak of the brutal rape and susequent death of the young woman, then I agree you should be outraged but not...guilty. Those who perpetrated the violation should feel guilty. There are many things that occur in my country for which I am ashamed and outraged. But neither of us can carry the guilt of a country on our back. Perhaps this poem is the beginning of a catharsis that will ultimately give voice to your feelings and allow you to become the voice for those in your country who have no voice. I wish you peace.

rahul....seeing you again, is rather startling to me, since only this morning, I wondered about you and where you've been....This was to me, as though you heard my thoughts......and here you are.

Deep, dark and disturbing......my sincere hope that this poem does not mirror your inner thoughts....or that you are in pain from torturous memories.......Please say this is not so.

...We are happy to see you and welcome you back with open arms. Peace and hugs to you.......UP++++

How befitting is this in what's happening around us...the shooting tragedies, the gang rape, the killings in Syria (and other part of the world) and all sorts of horrendous crime around the world. How can humanity be so heartless?

      Beware, evil lurking around us.

Great piece Rahul. Up and sharing.

Oh my friend, how I could embrace remorse when I was younger. I could carry the weight of the world on my shoulders and I was at fault in any circumstance. So happy to discover that I really am not that important. LOL That is one of the great lessons in life.
