A Poem: I Remember my Love.

Updated on February 21, 2016
Source

Love is Waiting.

In the dark of the night, when the moon is the light and you sit there alone in your room.

You remember those days, those bright summer days when love was yours in full bloom.

This love it did last for many a day and happiness was always around, for years this went on and always you knew that life's happiness and love you had found.

Then one day it was gone the Reaper had called and your love it was taken away. You wept as you knew that your heart it was gone, no longer a bright summer day.

You think of your children both grown up now, two boys that stand upright and true, you know that through them your love cares for you and in this you find peace that is true.

A sound at the window, you look out at the rain and you smile as you know that you will meet again.

A Poem: A Lonely Hubbers Lament.

Absolutely beautiful, Graham. You express the sad yet sweet and hopeful of a lifetime of love, not gone, just on hold for a little while. Loved it. VUM.

This is so sweet and sad. I liked the image of the darkened room, with the moon as the only light, contrasted with the memory of the summer sun.

And I believe you'll meet again, too. :-)

Sweet and sad. Why has the reaper had to come? Despite the circumstances, I'm sure the love was not actually taken away. It is there, right there in your heart...until you meet again.

Lovely poem! Up and another one worth sharing.

Hi Graham I have been looking through your hubs and came across this gem which has always been a favourite of mine ; so tender and precious.

I also remember your constructive criticism which meant a great deal and shows just how well we get to know each other on here.

I love Cornwall and my friend Sylvia who lives a few doors away from us is from there.

I cannot remember offhand which area she lived in; I shall ask her again .

I am also sharing this one onto my 'Everyone has a dream' facebook page which I hope to use just for posting my favourite hubs.

Take care and here's to a wonderful New year for you and Pauline.

      Lots of love
