Rita Rudner's Guide To Men
"All Men Would Really Like to Own a Train Set"
Have you read the book "Rita Rudner's Guide to Men"? No? Then you absolutely must! It is hilarious.
I love it because every once in a while we just need a funny, lighthearted break from everyday life and everyday stress; to find a few moments to laugh and recharge energy, something that works like a spa treatment for our minds and attentions.
Are you already familiar with Rita Rudner's comedy routine? If you are than you know what I'm talking about and may have previously enjoyed her "Guide to Men", but if not grab this book and get ready to enjoy those perfect little escape moments.
A wonderful thing about "Rita Rudner's Guide to Men" is that the entire book can be read in just a few minutes, it is very short, put together in a manner to match her wry stand-up comedy routines with 202 snippets about men that we can all laugh at (well, if you have a sense of humor you can). Now you may have guessed but I'll mention it anyway, this book is for adults not young children, not because it's contents are off-color but because children have not gone through life's experiences yet. After all, it is a "Guide to Men", not boys.
I must caution you though, there is one down side to this book - you'll find that if you're not alone you will be reading lines out loud and that's a great thing. You won't get too far into the book before you just have to tell someone. I made to line #6 and #7 before I just had to share with my husband -
#6 "Most of the men sitting in first class on an airplane have really boring jobs."
#7 "Most men who hitchhike have never sat in first class on an airplane".
By the way, my husband enjoyed her book too at least that's what he told me. : )
