roof is seeping

Updated on May 15, 2016
Source

Inspired by shishunal sharifs poem. (in kannada language)

The roof is seeping cause of ignorance,
in darkness are the senses.

with no guiding force,
will i ever climb out of my roof ?

base busted, strings lost,
will i ever play pleasing notes?

Slipping into sand dunes,
in and out i see, repentance.

by asking for mercy,
his kindness has poured faithfully.

the roof is gleaming with bliss,
because of his blessings.

Yes, more likely related to my "Resilient Soul" piece, Hari. An inspiration indeed.

thanks surabhi, yes it is my mother tongue.

shishunala sharif used local dialect and wrote poems about social issues to make people understand them. his songs inspire many till today.

      thanks for remembering.

Kodagana Koli... oh I remember his song. It used to appear on Doordarshan TV... it was dubbed in Hindi. Shishunala Sharifa was a wonderful philosopher. Lovely poem, Hari. Keep up the inspiration!
