Salt of all

Updated on March 14, 2012

Jimmy Buffett | Margaritaville

Salt shaker
Salt shaker
Salt
Salt

The salt of it all

Salt is white

Salt makes a diet

Some like it regular

I like it lite

But salt I may

Or salt I might

For me to salt,

Is mostly right

Salt is a noun,

An adjective or verb

Some foods without

Will make you frown

An egg without,

Most say no way

Peanuts, popcorn

Pretzels too

Margaritas a must

On metal, it rusts

Table, Lite, or Kosher,

Garlic , rock and Sea salt too,

Some salt is even blue

The Great Salt Lake, Utah
The Great Salt Lake, Utah

Everywhere salt

Salt, salt, everywhere salt

Salt flats, salt lakes,

Salt mines and oceans too

Salt that cures

Salt that kills

Salt on roads,

To help with spills

Salt on wounds

Brings healing soon

Salt, salt, salt

The salt of it all

Thanks so much PDXKaraokeGuy for your read and kind comment. Sorry I have commented on your work lately; always enjoy it. My real job has sort of gotten in the way. With all that's going on in politics, my newspaper has me pretty busy. I will "be back" to comment though. Thanks again. Lee

No man is worth his salt who is not ready at all times to risk his well-being, to risk his body, to risk his life, in a great cause.
