S - The Reasons Why I Write
I've heard a question being thrown out there before asking people why they write. I've been thinking about this for some time. I feel my motivations are many.
For one, I feel that there's a lot going on out there that many people don't know about. Such as the bad element on the streets. Ignoring these issues won't make them go away. For this reason, I believe it is good to be aware and conscientious, so that, hypothetically speaking, if one were to observe a criminal act, such as someone conning or manipulating others, they will then be able to report this bad behaviour. Being aware, after having read up on the subject, they would be better suited for recognising criminal behavior.
Unfortunately, con artists and other unsavory types are on the rise due to a worsened economy and population constraints. This is how I came about publishing the Awareness Articles I've been doing.
Another reason I love to write is to express myself when I'm feeling inspired. I enjoy writing poetry and sharing it with others. I also enjoy writing about books and movies that have inspired me.
One of the other great things about writing is sharing recipes and anecdotes with others. The friendliness and camaraderie found here on HubPages has been an uplifting experience. I have gotten amazing input and inspiration from reading the writings of the great Hubbers up here.
So, whether my reasons range from the serious, to the cute, to the inspirational, or to the tasty, I enjoy writing them all. I get a great sense of spirit from writing and it helps to put things into perspective for me, and I feel this will be so for all my life.
