The Bible, King James Version

Updated on August 31, 2016

Give this Book a Read

The Bible is the nonfiction book that I chose to write about. You might wonder why I chose the King James Version, for centuries Monks and Priest would translate the Bible, but if they did like a passage or didn't understand it, they just changed or removed it. Nowadays they even translated it into what they call plain speech, but after hearing it, it hardly resembles the Bible at all. I think they even changed some of the hard to pronounce the names. The King James Version has been translated the least and is the most correct.

The Bible

Have you read your scriptures, do you know what your church believes in? Most say that they do, but if you ask them specific questions they can't answer them. Why don't you give this book a read. You can buy this book, that's if you don't have one of your own, because 74 percent of America's population consider themselves Christian.

You can buy this from and have it on your tablet.

The Jewish Scriptures

The Tanakh are Holy Scriptures of Judaism, printed by Jewish Publication Society. It is similar to the old testament, but not the same. It consists of three parts. The Torah is the Laws, the Nevi'im which is the first five books of the prophets and some history too. The Kethuvim is poetry and wisdom.

Not many people are aware that the Hebrew langue was once nearly dead like Latin and other romance languages. After years and years of the Jewish people being torn from their homes and being relocated to other lands basic Hebrew was only used during ceremonies and at Temple. They had no modern

Eliezer Ben Yehudah devoted his entire life to bring Hebrew back in the 19th century. He suffered with TB, for much of this time and both of his wives contracted the disease from him and died.

So I alluded to the Jewish people being dispersed more than once. In the time of Moses, they traveled forty years to the Holly land. During the black death the disease was blamed on the Jewish people, despite the fact that they were dying at the same rate as everyone else. The Germans kicked them from their homes. The Polish King who was a good man who's wife was Jewish took all of the Jewish people that he could. Which why is there where were so many Jewish people in Poland during the Holocaust when they the Jewish people were almost exterminated by the NAZIS.

If any Germans are offended, I am German, Irish, Native American, French, English, and Swiss. It is all history good or bad, it is what happened.

The Book of Mormon

The book of Mormon can be bought on an app, or through the LDS free app or a you can buy a copy online. You could also get a free copy from the LDS missionaries.

The Book of Mormon

After Jesus came back from the dead and he said that he was going to go to his other sheep in other lands, what happened? Are there records of where he went? This book is said to be the scriptures that were written by the saints of America, which also included the Native Americans. I've read this book from cover to cover and I can testify that this book is another testament of Christ and goes along with the Bible very well.

The book of Mormon was printed in the 1800s.

I enjoy reading the Bible, and I've read the Book of Mormon too. Wonderful stories in both.

Thanks for sharing this lens. My favorite Bible translation is the New King James. I use it exclusively (unless doing research for study/teaching purposes). Also love to study the scriptures in the original languages of Hebrew and Greek. Nice meeting you! Blessings!

To the woman, I did read your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed reading the book of Mormon. I read all types of books from other churches. I get that from my mother who studies Jewish texts. I forgot to put this in, but the proof is actually genetic. According to LDS scripture the people came from Israel, but were of Non Jewish decent. The Native Americans, which I happen to be one of genetically have 25 percent European DNA, this was discovered when a body of an prehistoric Native American body was found a few years ago.
