The Book of Mormon

Another Testament of Christ

The Book of Mormon is "to the convincing of Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the eternal God, manifesting himself to all nations" (Title Page). It goes hand in hand with the Bible to testify of Christ. It is written by prophets about the spiritual dealings of the people who worshipped Christ in the Americas from 600 BC to approximately 425 AD. The central point of the Book of Mormon is when Christ, after he had been resurrected and appeared to those at Jerusalem, came and visited those people in the Americas, and gave them the same gospel he had given to the Jews, and organized his church there.

I have read the Book of Mormon many times, and it focuses on testifying of Christ. But don't take my word for it. You can find out for yourself. If you read in the Book of Mormon there is a promise there, given by God, that if you read it, and ask God, in the name of Christ, if it is true, he will let you know for yourself if the Book is true through the power of the Holy Spirit, which often is something more than a feeling, and is calm, warm, and a comfort.

When I asked about whether or not the Book of Mormon was true, I felt the Love of God telling me it is true. It was written specifically for us in our day, and I invite you to read it and find out for yourself.

I promise you, if you will read it, and ask God if it is true, he will let you know by the power of the Holy Spirit that it is true. The Book of Mormon, with the Bible provide greater clarity, and contain within them the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I invite you to try the promise, and find out for yourself.

Some more about the Book of Mormon. It was written by prophets, many of whom saw Christ, and could testify of his divinity. It tells of conversions to his gospel, and what happened to the civilizations there when they didn't obey God's laws given to them. It provides a warning to us in our day to follow the word of God, and we will be happy here, and be able to return and live with him again.

It is the word of God, for us today, and it will help you in your daily life. It is the words of the Savior, written by prophets of old, and will fill you with God's spirit.
