The Delight In Red

Updated on March 8, 2015

Red By Many Shades

Maroon, crimson, cherise, burgundy, garnet, ruby, wine, scarlet and vermillion...

Used in various cultures and phrasing, the color red is symbolized both positively and negatively. I would, as perhaps many, like to think of myself possessing and using many positive words to describe ones attributes. Therefore, please check the following:

The positive description for the color red would be bold, strength, power, passion, love, virility, success, life and hot.

The negative description for the color red would be danger, fire, evil, death, immoral and too hot.

I love red. Isn't it funny how dark blue when faded becomes light blue, but reg when faded is called pink and takes on feminine connotations?
