Funniest Revenge - Brother Builds Building Just to Cover Brother's Ocean View
If you think your uncles' fights over grandfather's grounds are disgusting, wait to see this construction, nicknamed "The Grudge," which is a monument of what a brother can do for revenge. The funniest revenge of all time.
This thin three-story building is located in Beirut, Lebanon, and is considered one of the narrowest in the world. In its widest part, it is only 4 meters wide, and the thinnest is only 60 centimeters.
The neighbors call this construction "The Grudge" to honor the story that is told about its origin. It is said that in the fifties, a father inherited ample land to his two children, but due to various projects of the municipality, they had to divide it.
The first brother was left with the largest part of the land and the second with a tiny portion that had a triangle shape. They fought for that unfair distribution of the property but did not reach any arrangement.
The one who stayed with the small land decided to take revenge, and in 1954 he ordered the construction of this thin building, which is instead a very thick wall that blocked the view of the sea that could be seen from his brother's house.
It was a combination of meanness and ingenuity because placing it right in front of the building, reduced the value of his brother's house.
It is a tiny but totally habitable place that has two apartments on each floor. For a time, it was a brothel, and then it was used as a refuge for families fleeing war.
They have tried to tear it down, but legally nothing can be done. Besides, as it is a tiny lot, they could not build anything else, and it would be more expensive to destroy the house.
Did you think your brother was the worst of all? The revenge of a Lebanese reached very high proportions with this building, built only to get even. They gave him the smallest ground, but in the end, he made evil and rancor triumph.
