The Skies

Updated on March 19, 2013
Source

When I look into your eyes

I am taken to the skies...

When I lean

to kiss your lips...

why do my eyes

become filled with mist

As my heart does... skip a beat ..

close to you... I feel such heat..

Silent Solitude .. surrounded by color

loneliness sits alone... as love waits

off in the distance, while our reflections...

look back at one another... smiling

Does a broken heart...

cry out as a soul is

torn asunder from within...

with silent screams... that No one ever hears...

as the orange, green tinted leaves

fall to the ground in silence

while the lowly bench... looks on.

The poetry and the pictures match perfectly. This is sad but it is lovely as well. Nice job, Mark.

This is beautiful. I especially like the ending. I have so many pictures of empty benches, it just says so many things to me, makes me want to tell the story I imagine at that time, but I usually forget them soon after and am just left with that lonely feeling. lol

      Up and sharing.

thank you Jackie, it does say many thngs to me also , the representations of silence and lonliness just scream at me although there is no noise in reality . it's just a beautiful thought .

I always love to catch your posts to see what photos will be posted. These are so appropriate for the poem. The eyes tell it all, and the skies relect it. Lovely poem, a bit sad in places, but still lovely.
