Sitting alone in this room.
It feels like a stranger to her now.
Her bags are packed, and the taxi waits outside.
But she's still wishing this wasn't real.
She prepares to leave her life behind.
And say goodbye to you for good.
Trying to breathe, but air eludes her.
She wonders if she'll ever breathe again.
Today seems like a good day to die.
Cold and alone, that box is already ticked.
What's the point in living now?
She's just a sad, empty shell.
The one unbreakable piece of her life.
Is shattered, torn and ripped apart.
These scars she knows will last forever.
And she envisions no end to the pain in her heart.
All her hopes and dreams are dust.
All because of your drunken lust.
She doesn't want to give you that power.
So without you here, she mourns for her future.
The wedding she'd planned, the children she'd named.
Dead before their turn ever came.
The sun outside's a lie. It should be rain.
But her tears fill that void, in rivers down her face.
Turning her back on her life with you.
Into a future, dark and unknown.
Nothing but fear covers her path.
Will she ever smile again?
Will she ever Breathe Again?
