Limitless

Updated on June 1, 2012

Excellency lies in the pursuit of it

Diligence a prosperous virtue

To those who lack the zest of it

Lay down in mist of untrue

For he who seeks from the Heart

The bounty showers… Limitless!

Compassion rests in sweet realms

Parts of soul, untouched

Those who rest in egotist beds

Are never even slightly clutched

For he who yearns to give it all

On him blessings fall… Limitless!

Camaraderie delves in the heart, hidden

Bravery flows in the blood

Those who stab the back are bitten

By a serpent and die bleeding mud

For he who stands to die for all

Hearts he holds are Limitless!

Wealth resides in the men you earn

Not gold! Not silver! Not land!

Those jeering fellow men never learn

Dance with loneliness, hand in hand

For he who is the noblest of all

True wealth over him shall fall… Limitless!

Moments lie hidden in the day

Unseen waiting to be found

Those who fret about life in dismay

Keep fretting until they are ground

For he who find life in small moments

They come by him in quantities Limitless

Pain is the sole harbinger of happiness

The discarded skin of Joy

Those who lust of pain to shed

Only dream of joy ahoy!

For he who welcomes pain with both hands

Joy Befalls in proportions Limitless!

Interesting take on the limits to the physical realm here, I like to think more about that of the spiritual realm, and so the physical doesn't have much effect on me.

This is where meditation comes in for me, and I've learned a great deal about it in recent years, I love your poem nonetheless, because it encompasses a great deal of peoples fears and mental issues that tend to sway them in differing directions in life. Nice Job Rahul, good stuff! Voted up and out.

Well my bad, on the initial comment I left here about the physical realm, I see you think as I do without stating such but by telling how it is rather with the true realities people partake in mentally. Plus I actually meant that of the things the poem states that are peoples true physical limits I didn't agree on, and I guess I meant to agree with your thoughts here in every way.

I read it again Rahul, yes limitless is a mind free from all physical attachments, you are on point in every way. Awesome!

I will share the word you often share with me. "EPIC" simply it is, you moved me and my thought process was taxed to it's limit. Symbolism indeed and the imagery penetrated to my very core. Well done, excellent work, a masterpiece. Voted Up and all buttons pressed and shared.

I absolutely agree with you that Poetry is a kind of healthy food for the minds. Researchers has found that Poetry could actually help reduce dementia in later life.

      -----------------------------------------------

I like your clever use of words to express whatever was on your minds.

      Perfection towards

      a great heart

      a noble heart

      a brave heart

      a joyful heart

      And flaws from

      an emotional heart

      a fearful heart

      an elusive heart

      a sad heart

      are indeed ... infinite ...!
