Timeless (poem)

Updated on May 19, 2012

He feels her coming in the passing breeze

His promised love is not so far away

This promise from a lifetime of dismay

This precious dream to set his soul at ease

-

Her flowers were the purpose of his day

Each word within his heart he shared with these

Each wished for moment there her flowers sees

Amid their precious garden time did stray

-

Then came the time for him to say goodbye

His flowers were all there to keep him warm

So lonely was the smile upon his face

-

One day the garden caught a young girl’s eye

And there for her a love began to form

A love beyond all time beyond all space

I can relate to your beautiful poem and musical video, with so many purple flowers, for I have seen gloomy days in the once darkened corners of my soul, but as I saw the light of Christ, as in the light colored flowers and the light that beckons from beyond, I have seen the promise of a new life.

Truly, in our spirit we may better appreciate the beauty and timelessness of God's love as it remains eternal, but it is in our hardened heart and spirit that we see ourselves lost, in time, stressed up, confused and bewildered. Blessings to you and your readers Mhatter99, and thanks for the follow.

UP awesome and beautiful, MHatter99 (is that 'mad" hatter???). I like your style of writing and meaning which is wrapped artistically in thought inspiring images.

MHatter, The appassionata foreshadows the poem's tosses and turns. The symbolism of the ending photo works with your poem in which experience becomes a black-and-white film background to the endless cycle of love and love's memories and symbols.

Respectfully, and with many thanks for sharing, Derdriu

This truly is beautiful - listening to the music with it's lovely video and the illustration - all just gorgeous. I don't recall a lovelier hub in quite awhile. You've created a poem for poets!

      It is, indeed - timeless.

      Gets my votes.
