The Sweetwater Canyon Series by Maggie Jaimeson

One of My All-Time Favorite Romance Series

The Sweetwater Canyon Series, by Maggie Jaimeson, includes the first two novels Undertones and Healing Notes , with two more set to be released in 2013. Sweetwater Canyon is an all female, bluegrass Americanna band that has their ups and downs. Undertones is 'Michelle's Story' and tells of how her and David have a fairy tale romance even after neither of them wanted a relationship. The two meet just after Michelle joins the band and just before she goes on tour. Neither of them expect to fall in love and try to overcome the reality of being separated for four months while she is on tour.

The second book, Healing Notes, is 'Rachel's Story'. She faces tragedy in Undertones and the book Healing Notes tells her story and how she overcomes a horrific tragedy and finds love.

One the main things I loved about these two books and look forward to in the rest of the series is that author Maggie Jaimeson is a brilliant author and sets the scenes, characters and tone in a way that you can relate. There are some hot, passionate loves scenes in these books but they are all beautifully and tastefully written without obscenities. If you are looking for a great romance that will keep you turning the pages then you have to read the Sweet Water Canyon Series.

Both books are available in paperback or ereader form at

and for your Nook at Barnes & Noble

Gabriel's Inferno Series by Sylvain Reynard

A Beautiful Romance Series that You Just Can't Put Down

I just recently finished reading Gabriel's Inferno and Gabriel's Rapture and fell in love with this series. They are definitely one of the best romance series I have read.

I found it while looking for romance books like Fifty Shades of Grey. While I loved Fifty Shades of Grey, I would have to say that I enjoyed the Gabriel's Inferno Sequel better. While it didn't have as much hard-core, erotic moments, it did have more passion, more love and more of a true fairy tale type plot.

Gabriel's Inferno is about a couple who fell in love at first sight, spent an innocent night together, and found themselves separated the very next morning. Years later, she goes off to college to realize that her professor is the very same gentleman that stole her heart that night in the apple orchard many years ago. Unfortunately, he never knew her name so he didn't recognize her, he just knew that she had a familiarization that he could put his finger on. Something like a brown-eyed angel.

I won't go any further because I don't want to spoil the story but I will say that it is by far, one the best romance novels I have ever read! It isn't as erotic as Fifty Shades of Grey and for some that makes it even better. It's a compassionate romance book that you won't be able to put down!

Gabriel's Inferno and Gabriel's Rapture are both available in paperback and eReader format at Amazon and Barnes & Noble

Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

When Good Girl Meets Bad Boy

Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy

The Best Erotic Romance Story Yet!

The Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy consists of Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker, and Fifty Shades Freed. Each book starts off right where the last one left off with the same characters along with a few new ones for an unexpected appearance, thrill or threat!

Fifty Shades of Grey is a romance book about a college student, Anastasia Steele, who interviews one of Seattle's richest men, Christian Grey, for a college paper assignment. Not only is he rich, but he is sexy, romantic and has a very dark secret along with an even darker past. When Anastasia finds herself falling for Christian she is surprised by his reluctance and refusal to even consider the thought.

After quite sometime she finds herself at dinner with Christian who won't so much as consider talking to her until she has signed a Non-Disclosure Act prohibiting her to ever tell anyone about his personal life. It doesn't take long for her to understand by such a multi-talented man would require an NDA. His hidden fantasies are well beyond anything her virgin mind could have ever thought of. She quickly realized that Christian doesn't have romantic relationships, in fact, in doesn't have any relationships. Everything is strictly physical and requires a contract that will insure his sexual desires are met and nothing further.

Unfortunately, Julia knows her virginity is far worth more than any erotic contract and she will only give it to the man she loves, whom would love her back. Christian finds himself realizing that there is more to life than sex and that Anastasia is worth more than all the money in the world. However, his dark secrets and sexual needs end up being to much for Anastasia... she finds herself unable to meet the contractual requirements and with that she must go. Christian on the other hand realizes that no sexual contract could ever fulfull his life now that he has been with Anastasia, the only problem is that it may be to late to get her back.

I will stop there as well, to prevent a spoiler, but I must say, Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy is a great romance book and an even better erotic romance series!

Pride and Prejudice - A Timeless Classic Romance... When Rich Meets Poor!

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Anna Quindlen

One of the best classing romantics ever! The book Pride and Prejudice is even better than the movie. It takes place in the 18th century. Don't let the 'old times' plot fool you- it's still one of the best romance books I have ever read. It portrays the story of a poor girl who ends up having a rich man fall at her feet and madly in love with her. Unfortunately there was a lot to overcome in order to have a relationship with her, such as poverty, Lydia- a beautiful female from a rich family that was more par-for- the course, and society. Of course in today's society it is unheard of but back then not only was it unheard of, it was also considered insane. Luckily, these two didn't let society keep them back. Instead, they bound together and fought society.

I really stopped reading romance when it became the same thing with different cities and different names of characters. Last year I picked up a book by Donna Fasano - Runaway Bride and fell in love with romance all over again. I then read Her Fake Romance and Merry Go Round--all fabulous books. Just getting ready to start her latest - Reclaim My Heart and really looking forward to it.
