Attitude Quotes

Updated on January 21, 2021

What is Attitude?

Attitudes are judgments. They represent a person's degree of like or dislike for something, usually a particular person, place, thing, or event. Attitudes toward the attitude object are generally positive or negative, yet sometimes there may also be ambivalence.

The ABC model (affect, behavioral change and cognition) is the way many psychologists define attitude. The affective response is a physiological response that expresses an individual's degree of preference for an attitude object. The behavioral response is a verbal indication of the intention towards the attitude object. The cognitive response is an intellectual evaluation of the attitude object to form an attitude.
