Train Station of No Return

Updated on March 5, 2012

No going back

invisible tracks imagine a journey

No map, No way, No path

No clearity

Sitting, waiting, contemplating

heart heavy, hands cold, trembling

dreams surfacing beyond control

fears grabbing, pulling at hair

Waiting, moving, almost still

towards shelter...finding rain

Feeling cold watery wind

eyes stinging

Vision blurred by

pink and yellow dreams

Sleeping a restless wakefulness...

Blind, senseless, vivid, powerful, unbearable

train station

of

no return.

Iva, this was a fast paced poem that seemed to move faster towards its end, almost similar to the way a train would pull itself away from the depot. Great adjectives, very nice. Thank you.
