Voice of Direction

Voice of direction~

Speak to me~

Tell me where I am going~

Indicate where I have been.

Dirt road~

Luminous and leery~

Foxes dens holed out~

Babies gaily playing.

Ruff terrain~

Trees galore~

Left or right~

What will be in store?

Raccoons scurry~

Eyes bright in the night~

Foraging for food alert~

Amiss the moonlight.

Voice of direction~

Speak to me~

Tell me where I am going~

Indicate where I have been.

Birds of prey~

Swoop down~

To something helpless~

Rustled on the ground.

Water pieces~

Go on by~

While Canadian geese~

Steer their brood till nigh.

Construction ahead~

An alternate route~

Flag man a hairy~

Grouchy brute.

Voice of direction~

Speak to me~

Tell me where I am going~

Indicate where I have been.

Deer with white fluff tail~

Briskly leap~

Another takes a bound~

Catching up with the brassy fleet.

Yellow lines go by~

For miles at a time~

The cross roads of progress~

Visibly unwind.

Sunshine so bright~

In the heat of day~

Shuns the traveler~

As the voice announces the way.

Voice of direction~

Speak to me~

Tell me where I am going~

Indicate where I have been.

This poem sent me in a direction that I enjoyed traveling towards, the pictures of animals that one would see along the way. Crisp, fresh and neat and tidy. I loved this journey, sitting behind my rig and listening to the voice of direction. I rate this UP..much enjoyed. peace
