Knowing When the Time Has Come For Letting You Go & Letting It End, So I Can Have A Fresh New Start

Updated on September 17, 2012

The time has come

For letting go

Accepting the things

I already know.

The time has come

I know it is true,

A time for me

Seperate from you.

The time has come

I cannot deny

Your words that hurt,

Or the tears I cry.

The time has come

To just face the facts,

I cannot make you

Love me back.

The time has come

Painful as it seems

To close my eyes,

Release the dream

The time has come

Our paths must part

Down one road you leave,

On a new road I start.

The time has come

I cannot pretend,

I've glimpsed the future

I've seen the end.

The time has come

Someday you will see,

The treasure you lost

When you lost me.

Awwww epi, you always make me blush! Your praise humbles me, and I am honored at the comparison! Thank you!

......I thought I was reading the 'epigramman' here - lol - it's so good - and yes I love your poetic 'style' - lean, sparse, economical, brief, precise, and to the point and packed with so much emotion and meaning - dare I say one thing - but I will do it with pride - this is your masterpiece!

ooo, I really like this one. It touches home in a very nice way that you can't quite explain. Nice style and form and great subject.

Twilight Lawns - Thank-you! When you've exhausted all avenues, and when there is just nothing more to say, then I believe that simple is best.

I like it very much. It is so deceptively simple, but powerful because of that. Thank you.

Very clearly describes the pain of leaving a relationship you know can never be right.
