Winter Spring - A Poem

Updated on July 7, 2017

For Eve With Love

I found this letter this morning inside my inbox.

“I really love your poem makes me inspired everytime I read them. Now I am very sad because my boy friend left me because of his jealous which I dont know understand why. Do you have any poem? I want to share it with him. Thank you so much im waiting your reply . Take care and Allah be with you always.

Dear Eve,

Thank you for liking my poem. It is amazing feeling to know that my poems can do more than just giving happy feeling for me who wrote it, but inspiring others too. That’s put smile in my face. Thank you.

Actually I don’t have time to write a poem today, but I know love and pain feels like. I just lost the one so dear in heart recently. That’s something unbearable, mostly if we have to through it alone and that’s why I decided to put down my dictates and write you a song about it. But to be honest I’m not really sure what kind of poem you hope to read. For today I will try to expressing your emotion only. Hopefully few days later after my assignment are done, I can write you something to share with the one you love or maybe to cheer you up.

This is for now, hope you like it.

Big hug for you and hope God will ease your pain

Kiss The Rain By Yiruma

Winter Spring

Can you hear me calling?

I woke up today with saddened heart

My love,

Why are you not here with me?

Outside the world turned into white

Is it winter?

But how can it be?

Isn’t it just yesterday when the spring was here?

Flowers was blooming,

Birds was chirping,

Fresh scent of the air was filled my lung

There inside your arm I was thought;

I found my magic wand

I breathed your name when you kissed my tears

We laughed and celebrated this wonderful feeling

Happiness never was so simple,

Yet so complete

When my love;

You became the world to me

But the door had suddenly shut

And now you are gone

Chosed to say goodbye and leave me all alone

Swept all dreams away

For a thing I never understand why

In this sorrow

I still holding on

To the only hope which left unbroken

Someday you will turn your back again

And see...

How this love never less

Nor gave you any lies

My love,

Can you hear me calling now?

I fell asleep today with the tears on my face

Hoping spring will come again tomorrow

But why are you

Still not here with me?

I like the contrast of spring and winter, love and sadness unanswered. There is certainly beauty in spring, but there can be beauty in winter, also. Learning to know love is essential to recognizing it when it comes again. Dealing with sadness is something we each must learn to do, for there are regrets, disappointments, and losses in all our lives. Tests and trials bring us understanding and wisdom we can learn and benefit from, even in our moments of sadness and loss. Nicely done. Review and edit until you are fully satisfied with this poem which has such a strong beginning.

The pain of loss with unrequited love is exquisite and your words have captured the experience. This too shall pass.
