wish wish

Updated on July 5, 2012

i wish i could tell you

things will always be the same

i wish i could lie

and take all the blame

i wish it was easy to just walk away

i wish i could hold back

things i should keep inside

i wish i could pretend

i am in control of my emotion

i wish you could feel

the tides of my ocean

i wish i did not regret

letting you in

in my mind, my soul

you were the perfect sin

i wish i kept your words

from crawling beneath my skin

i wish i was able to let my soul heal

lavishing you my profound intellect

in return, dehiscencing the sacred seal

i do not wish to let you know me deep

any longer

the moods you set here

left me sour... somber

i do not wish to see your face

for if i did

i would vanish without a trace

i do not wish to taste your sweet smile

instead i would choose to be exiled

i do not wish to ever listen to your stories

infinite women you lust

meaningless, stagnant, ignorant glory

as bitter as i've become

i do not wish the next Girl my pain

though i am certain she will suffer

eternal disdain

let her down easy

sadly enough

her ability to love again

will always seem tough

are you proud of your footprints?

what is it you gain?

@ Philly, I've seen it come on Pandora but always skipped over it. I listened again, to the words this time, and I agree. Sometimes, we have to learn the hard way but sometimes it's the only way.

This kind of reminds of that song "Jar of Hearts". The fact is every time a person plays these types of games, they leave a piece of their soul with every heart they break. The heart breaker is destined to feel empty and alone, and it's important to remember this so you do not suffer the same fate to gain some type of revenge. Karma does it's job well. I know because I was once this man.
