You're Your Yore

Updated on April 9, 2012

You're your yore

If you say so

It's about you

From a long time ago

Were "we're there"

When you said last

Of where you all went

Once in the past

An "in an inn"

Sounds real nice

It's even better

To have been there twice

Sew what? So what?

If you're okay

About what

You stitched that day

You could mace

Someone in the head

And they may

Just end up dead

Or you could mace

Someone in the face

And their sight

Will be out of place

You can mean

Too mean to be meant

Unless you meant

To be mean and not mean

If you mean

The mean that you spent

If what you spent

Don't mean that you're mean

See, you see the sea

See, indeed if you saw

If you saw

The sea you can see

I once saw the sea

From a see-saw

You may have seen

Two halves from a saw

But have you saw

This scene that you've seen?

I loved your wordplay in this poem. Especially the first line " You're your yore". Amazing use of words and portrayal. Please come check out some of my latest articles. They explain a 3d animation program called blender, which could be useful in giving your poetry life.

Thank you for the great compliments, I always enjoy wordplay!

Ah, Blender! I will indeed come see what I can find on your hubs, I don't mention it much, but I'm also a lone-wolf indie game developer, complete with a licensed copy of Torque (www.garagegames.com).

If what you have available on Blender could help me take off, I'd be more the happier!! :D

Thank you again for both the compliments and the advice!

Thank you for the terrific feedback, I was hoping that I would accomplish this through my wording. Coming through clear was a little more difficult than the rhyming, honestly! :)

Thanks also for the compliment and, again, your great comment!

Using peoetic verse with those homophones,

Showed ingenuity to all adroit anglophones,

The use of alliteration was just too cool,

Which proved to all you are nobodys fool!

      ******************************************

Poetically in rhyme, with rhythm correct,

You were an English Major we may suspect,

But here you have found a way to us, delight,

By highlighting words which help us write!

      ******************************************

Thanks for trying this way of making writing fun!

Voted it Up and pushed all teh right buttons here, Christopher!

Regarsd Mike! (Aka Professor M!) ;D

Thank you Mike for the clever-as-well poetry you've left here, and your comment itself as well, I love coming up with cool stuff like this its just too bad I can't have a secretary on hand at all times to get all the ones I end up forgetting when I don't have pen and paper around to jot 'em down. Still, I get plenty of good ones when I can anyways!

Again, wonderful comment and big thanks!
