Best Selling Water Kettles

Updated on November 3, 2010

One piece of kitchen equipment that every household must have is a good water kettle for everyday use. Some might prefer the old fashioned way of boiling water on the stove, but most households prefer electric kettles. Regardless, hot water is a must for those tea drinkers and coffee addicts such as me.

An electric water kettle is by far the most convenient way of heating water forĀ  breakfast coffee and tea. Get a nice stainless steel kettle to add a little pizazz to your kitchen also.

As far as I am concerned, these are the best kettles on the market currently. They are all from solid, well trusted manufacturers with good reputations and - if you take care of them - will last a lifetime.

Aroma AWK-115S Hot H20 X-Press 1-1/2-Liter Cordless Water Kettle

This electric hot water kettle boils up to 1 and 1/2 liters of water so fast, you would think you only boiled half a cup. It has a 360 swivel base for cordless pouring and - for safety purposes - it also turns off immediately the water reaches boiling point. It has a water level indicator and a stay cool kettle handle. It also has a non drip spout.

It is fashionably "cool," but heats water real fast. It is really a great water kettle and hard to find fault because it is so simple. I always prefer kitchen appliances that are first and foremost practical - if they look good also - as this one does - so much the better.

Contemporary looks, high quality and under $25? Sounds good to me.

Some people think that plastic will leech chemicals into the water. They say that plastics and stainless steel kettles differ greatly in taste, but I have tried using both of them and they don't. Especially this one, the spout and handle has good shape that makes it comfortable and easy to pour. Furthermore the lock at the top makes it pretty tough to spill. This is really a great kettle, and another great looking machine.

For students who are living in a dorm room, you could instantly make coffee, hot tea and have oatmeal right in your room with an electric kettle. AllĀ  you got to do is just put some water and flip the switch on. Wait a couple of minutes and your hot water for your drink or food is ready. You could detach the cable after boiling and use it as a pitcher. However, when you're using it, just make sure that you close the seal tightly because it does not close by itself.

Adagio Teas 3 UtiliTEA Variable-Temperature 30-Ounce Electric Kettle

This is a great kettle for a tea or coffee drinker. This water kettle is both useful and very innovative. It has a covered water heating feature.

The great thing about this kettle is that it has a temperature control knob thus you can boil water to your desired temperature. There is no need to add cold water to cool down boiling water, so if you are making coffee through a drip filter - you can have the water just off the boil for perfection. This is a very simple design. Indeed other water kettles may look more complicated and very sophisticated, but do they have a water temperature regulator? They don't.

All in all, it is easy to use, aesthetically pretty, good temperature control and durable thus making it one of the best kettles on the market. A little more expensive than the previous models, but worth it for the temperature control.

The anti calcification filter ensures that you are going to have a kettle that will last a long time - especially if you live in a hard water region. It also has an automatic shut off for added safety. You won't have to worry about boiling the water dry, or over heating the device until it breaks..

It has a 4 way safety shut off. First is when the water has boiled, then when the base has been lifted off, the lid is released or when there is no water remaining. Unlike the other kettles, the automatic off button is just during the time when the water boils. his is one of the safest kettles available.
