Is Benefect Really all Herbal and Truly Effective?

Benefect’s story grew out of one family’s need to provide for and protect their son when he was born with immune deficiency. Now, not only can everyone benefit from the products that were developed through the research they began, we can do it with confidence. Efficacious benefits is one way to sum it up.

The company’s reputation stretched out from their home into businesses such as restoration services, day cares, hospitals, and schools to begin gathering awards and making its way around the world. They are now recognized as the global leader in botanical disinfectants.

Working from an understanding that whole carrier oils and whole essential oils work as amazing antimicrobials and fungicides, the research, testing, and development of these products has produced a cleaning and disinfectant line of products with no health or environmental warnings. Reviews agree that it is about time such a product was available!

Disinfecting, Killing Mold, and Cleaning

Long recognized, though not completely understood, oils in herbs contain self-protective microbial properties. Benefect products leave no toxic residue, not only saving the health of humans and pets, but also saving dollars for clean up as well as saving time and energy when cleaning up.

For instance, their Decon 30 disinfectant’s germ killing time is rated at 30 seconds as opposed to brand disinfectants that warn users about their 10-15 minute kill time. This product requires no effort to do a water rinse even in food preparation or serving areas. It is safe to use in places designated for infants, the elderly, and animals.

This next generation germ killer is on the CDC's registered list of products for use in hospitals and other health care facilities, institutional sites, offices, and homes against viruses including polio, fungi, staphs, and more. It kills over 99.99% of germs when used according to manufacturers instructions.

Safe for the environment, safe for workplaces and dwellings, safe for you and yours, Benefect's products continue to amaze researchers. As good or better than cleaning products full of harmful chemicals, businesses devoted to green products report on user satisfaction.

Benefect's Beginning

How is Benefect Backed?

A look at the company’s website FAQs page answers many questions about this line of products. My favorite question and answer is number 7 on why no warning labels can be found on the products. For good reason, there are no warning labels require by the E.P.A. The products are not hazardous.

The contents are approved by the F.D.A. as safe food additives. Again, we find zero dangerous chemicals. On the U.S.G.R.A.S. because this line of antimicrobial products is ECOLOGO certified. Reading the approval ratings increases confidence in their reliability.

Having Health Canada’s D.I.N. gives companies and homeowners assurance that they are providing consumers with the best alternative for removing biological pollutants when they need a safe disinfectant and/or fungicide.

Thyme oil being the principle ingredient of the product means it is interesting to study information on the oil and look through reports of other research on its use:

One Introduction to and Experience with Benefect Products

Would you like to use a disinfectant product that is environmentally responsible and sustainable? How about one that has been probed for its risk verses its benefits with the result being resoundingly positive? Benefect is the botanical product the out performs!

I was introduced to these products by someone who manages a wide variety of buildings. Office workers and various business owners needed solutions for potential health hazards that went beyond typical cleaning issues. In researching the best answers to the concerns in those settings this product stood above other options.

Any structure can develop mold irritants that often become complicated problems. Cooling and heating systems have the potential for harboring hazards like Legionnaires’ bacteria. We know that so-called Super Bugs (or antibiotic resistant infections) are on the rise. Safe solutions for prevention are, or should be, our primary goal as we think through correct responses to these evolving diseases.

Having some experience with the side effects of fluoroquinolones made me keenly aware of the need to avoid antibiotics. The news about Benefect's ability to deal with germs, molds, and viruses in a broad spectrum manner was more than interesting and I began using it as quickly as possible.

My own research and use of the product led to discussions with friends about product safety (some of whom are now using Decon 30 in surprising ways) and then to my writing this hub so others can have the opportunity I've had to learn about an important product.

Over time I’ll respond in comments with updates on results of my own usage and of what I know of how others like using it. For now, I can say that I enjoy the clean smell and find it easy to see ways to use more in my housekeeping efforts.

It’s important to keep in mind, though, that herbal products cannot be deemed safe for everyone. Some may be allergic to even all natural products, including the plants themselves. As a precaution against the remote possibilities I began using Benefect very conservatively.

My recommendation for any new user is to do the same thing. The product smells great to most people, and leaves everything it is used on smelling fresh, but it is not intended to be used as an herbal remedy or an aromatherapy product in the traditional sense with diffusers and other tools of those trades.

That said, I am now very appreciative of the products and the comfortable trust I have in using them. Over a cup of tea in my kitchen I highly recommend to friends that they research and then use this product in their households. For me, using it regularly is as delightful as it is smart, but having it on hand when there is a crucial need is being prepared to do battle with high hopes of winning.

In my opinion, we should all be on a mission to pressure medical facilities to use Benefect for the safety of their patients and employees. The kinds of neglect I’ve seen by health care employees that create real potential for disaster for patients is for another hub, but Benefect products could be used by both employees and patients for their own well being.

Check out the Company

Typing Benefect into a search engine a brings up options to buy, such as from Amazon (which has had some great prices on the products) as well as other companies, but go directly to to get a grip of what this revolutionary brand is about.

With a long standing record of researching the helpful antibodies that naturally occur in organisms and testing out what was learned, safe products that do the job in circumstances that would otherwise not have best solutions are now conveniently obtainable thanks to the efforts of a family that needed an answer for their son.

The company’s inception is actually one of the greatest stories of our times, but that they are continuing to research and develop needed products is exciting for individuals, families, and communities everywhere. I'm looking forward to seeing what is developed for personal use in the near future.

Look over the site’s technology information, supporting documents, customer testimonies, and other options, then use what you read to do your own research on the kinds of people and companies using the product. See for yourself how pleased they are with the substantial results.

    cat on a soapbox:

Thanks for taking a look at this review of Benefect. I find the smell quite pleasant, not overpowering, which thyme could certainly be. However, it takes such a small amount of thyme to do the job that the smell is much lighter than expected. The owner's story of needing a solution for their son could be of interest to you since you have a sensitivity. We've continued using Benefect after trying other products for a while and then moving on.

Good information! I have seen thyme oil in natural garden sprays but have never heard of this product. We have replaced most of our cleaning products with one natural concentrate called Advanage 20X, but we still use bleach as an antimicrobial and mold killer. The only thing that concerns me is the smell. I am very sensitive to them and can't use things like Simple Green for this reason. Thank you for a great introduction to a safe and effective cleaner!

I try and use natural products wherever possible, but I haven't heard of Benefect. A quick search for it in the UK doesn't show it as available (Amazon have a page for it but you can't order) but I will keep a look out. Thank you.

I promise--it's promising! :) I love that I know the balance of ingredients in the product is correct for sanitizing. I always wonder about the home made ingredients. Though they all smell amazingly good, how much is enough to do the needed job or how much is too much, for even natural ingredients can be toxic if too much is used.

I've learned from experience that it's well worth using! The herbal scent does not try to cover up odors, it actually eliminates them leaving everything so fresh. So many products have promised such a thing, but this one delivers.

They say necessity is the mother of invention. From what I read, it sounds like that's how this product came into being. I think there are too many chemicals around also. I will look into this product, Benefect. Thanks for sharing.

    Blessings to you.

My experience with it has turned into a full-fledged love affair. After making some safe homemade "products" that were fair-to-middlin', as they sometimes say in the south, it's so nice to purchase one that is so, shall we say, positively refreshing! :)

Before reading this post, I had never heard of this brand. You did an excellent job describing all the benefits. And, I like that you also included an alert to let people know that even though it is approved and considered safe, people still need to pay attention to their bodies and any potential allergies they may have to certain herbs. Great job! I really enjoyed learning about this product.

Its safe disinfecting properties can't be beat. I'm using it to refresh things and it feels good to know that I'm not mostly just covering stale, musty, or dirty smelling items with a pleasant scent, but actually sanitizing them. The proof is in the smell. :)

Great hub with loads of information; it brings out the points of concern that we all have and answers many questions.
