Chainmate 24-Inch Survival Portable Pocket Chain Saw With Pouch

Updated on April 27, 2012

Looking into the survival pack of most people, you will notice a lack of some of the most basic essential including a pocket chain saw. The pocket chainsaw is extremely valuable to have in your survival kit. You should have the Chainmate 24-Inch Survival Pocket Chain Saw with Pouch in your kit for those adventures you take into the woods, camping, or other emergency.

The Chainmate 24-Inch Survival Pocket Chain Saw with Pouch came in extremely handy for me one day. I was traveling the Alaskan highway between Canada and the US. My vehicle suddenly decided it was time to stop. So, after pulling over and checking the car it seemed like I was stuck or awhile because there was no cell service or cars going to be coming by that I could see that late at night. If, you have ever traveled the pan Alaskan highway then you know that it can be a particularly lonely road at night. N this particular cold night with no heat from the car I was forced to get out the survival pack and see what I had. I usually keep a small survival pack in the truck because I’m an avid camper and I’m glad I had it with me this time.

Upon inspecting my bag, I noticed the Chainmate 24-Inch Survival Pocket Chain Saw With Pouch that I had purchased a couple of months back. This was my lucky day with the night air nibbling at my nose I was going to have to keep warm until daylight. So, along with my thermal blanket went into the woods off the side of the road. Used my flash light and pulled the Survival Pocket Chain Saw out and got it ready. Found a small tree and was surprised how quickly I was able to cut through it. Chopped it up into some small pieces and placed it for a fire. I survived that night with the help of this terrific little piece of survival gear and a thermal blanket. Would have been much colder with out both anyway. When morning came a trooper saw my car, and pulled over to help and the rest is history.

Even though it was not a huge survival test, I can attest the the Chainmate 24-Inch Survival Pocket Chain Saw With Pouch ability to cut down even a medium size tree fairly quickly. The hand grips were nice and able to slide the saw back and forth while cutting. This little cutter was originally build for military personal, but has recently been available to the general public. So, if you are an outdoorsman of any kind before your next trip make sure you have the chainmate in your survival gear
