If you do not have a lot of money to invest in home office organization storage solutions, there are inexpensive options that are easy to setup. Remember to measure your space before you go shopping to make sure that whatever you buy will fit into the space you have. It is also a good idea to take measurements of the big items you are planning to store to make sure they will fit into whatever you get.

Plastic Storage
Plastic is one of the cheapest ways to go when it comes to storage for your home office. You can use small plastic organizers for your desk to help keep small office supplies like paper clips and rubber bands organized. Plastic crates can be used as a home office organization solution for files. This works best if you only need a few files and if one or two crates are all you would need. Plastic drawer systems are good organizers for larger items like envelopes and extra paper. Just make sure you buy a drawer system that is big enough for what you want to store in it.

Buying Used
Thrift stores are good places to find cheap furniture. If you are putting together a home office and need inexpensive furniture and storage options, a large thrift store will have a variety of options for you. The larger the store the better the selection is likely to be. You can find some well-constructed real wooden furniture at these kinds of stores for far less than what you would pay for it new. Look for furniture that has good storage for your home office organization needs. Check out the furniture well before buying it to make sure it is not too damaged or has missing pieces.

Bookcases
Bookcases made from particle board are inexpensive and easy to setup. You can get them at discount stores and may even be able to find used ones in good shape. Check local online classified ad sites and local thrift stores. Bookcases make good home office organization solutions for larger items in your office. Labels, paper, CDs, binders, and of course books can easily be organized on bookcase shelves. For paper and labels having different file folder holders with labels can help keep the paper and labels upright on the shelves and make it easier to find what you need when you need it.
