A Reliable Toaster Over by Hamilton

I have used a toaster oven for the last 20 years. The one that I really like the most is the Hamilton Beach Toaster Oven. One reason I like this one is because it is small. This toaster oven is not a counter hog. The dimensions are 17 x 9 x 9. We use this toaster oven for eveything. We especially like that it heats up left-over pizza slices. I use it to make tuna melts, open face meatball subs and etc.

My kids like bagels and use the top-slots to toast. You have to use the toaster oven to learn toaster tricks-the temperature settings to heat- up your foods or toast. This Hamilton Beach toaster 22708 does not toast evenly. You do have to flip the toast onto the other side and re-toast. At first I got annoyed. But i learned a trick to use the toaster oven. If you turn the oven toaster knob to 375 degrees, toast one side. Then I use a bamboo-toaster prongs to flip the toast. The 2nd side will take another 30 seconds to toast because the oven is already hot. (That little bit of time gives me the opportunity to get the butter and jam out and or to grab my coffee. You really can have great toast.

Our current Hamilton Beach toaster oven is almost on its deathbed. I just recently looked on-line at all the reviews on other toaster ovens. Many toaster ovens act like mini-ovens and they hog up counter space. My husband does not like a standard toaster because he likes to heat up foods using a toaster oven, especially pizza, veggie burgers and tuna melts. My kids like the toaster oven for cheese-sticks, pizza rolls, left over ribs etc.I looked at Cuisinart, DeLonghi, Black and Decker. They were too big for my kitchen garage. I like to hide my toaster oven when not in use.

We use the toaster oven every day, and on most days twice a day to toast. It has lasted 7 great years. The longevity of my toaster oven was due to my crumb cleaning diligence. One must brush-out and empty the crumbs. You can't go wrong with Hamilton if you are a dedicated toaster family like we are.

I just bought another one. This one is a for a friend. You are absolutely right. CRUNCHY and CRISPY. I especially love it because my teens can handle a small appliance. They can heat up their own pizza rolls without waste power to a wall oven. Thanks for voting up.

A toaster oven is so much nicer than a microwave when it comes to warming up food items you want to be crunchy or crisp. It really is a versatile tool for the kitchen.

      Voted up and SHARED.
