Delicious And Tasty, And More Short Poems

Updated on October 12, 2014

My sugar cane was fine.

And I got my bid.

A dollar a stalk,

went in my pocket,

to buy my girl friend a locket.

It was daylight,

up until I got hurt,

by a falling peach,

I did not see.

to let out a screech.

I bought a mule,

for twenty five cents,

his name was Plug Nickel,

and I ain't seen him since.

I was a poor little boy,

that had no toys.

but I had six chicken,

that when I blinked my eyes,

they came up missen.

And as it turned out,

my mama, and papa,

my brothers ,and sisters,

they all ate chicken,

that was finger lick en,

after they all ate my six chickens.

And balls of cat hair,

makes me sick,

so I began to swear.

As Joann raised hell,

because I wouldn't sit,

in another chair.

with hatchets, and swords,

I tried to murder my wife ,

and we tried to murder each other,

just before breakfast one morning,

because we was married forty two years too long ,

and because there was no loaf of bread,

to make any toast,

in our mule's plow shed.

So Becky got angry ,

then cracked my head,

with her one good hand,

with that damn middle buster,

then I fell dead,

next to the mule,

in our plow shed.

And so it was that Joann cried only one beautiful small little tearfor me,

until the cops came,

and she took the blame,

while Becky our sweet little daughter,

stayed home like we would have wanted,

and ate her sugar cane.

Dear Movie Master : Than you so much for visiting Lesly. I love your picture with your little cat. Our Lord was so kind to create little pets for us on earth to make life more pleasing. You look so happy in your child hood picture. The little dog must have felt so protected. What a beautiful picture. GBY and your wonderful family.

I really like the way you tied one poem to the other - very interesting! Poor little child so poor he only had chickens as playmates ... how could I have laughed at their demise? And the truth, disguised, of the everyday things that wear your nerves thin. This was all good!
