DIY Stripped Vase
So what I did was I started off with a vase from the dollar store and it was literally $1. I just got a basic round vase, but you could get any size you want.
Then I took some painters tape also $1 at the dollar store. With the painters tape I put that on the parts that I didn't want paint on. So I put two pieces on.
Then I took some gold spray paint, took it outside and put 2 coats on.
I let it dry for about 30 minutes, brought it in and added some beautiful fake spring flowers.
This DIY just brightens up my entire room and it looks so springy. This is something that would be awesome to do with any design and color.
Tip: To get the flowers to stay I added some pebbles that I had. I also got the flowers from the dollar store.
Painters tape: $1
Spray Paint: Already had
Total Price: $6 - $11 depending on the flowers and spray paint
Not bad for something that would cost about $20 at a fancy craft store!!
Some other great options for this would be:
2 different colored paints
Real flowers instead of fake
Different designs on the vase
A different shaped vase
Doing this technique to an outside planter
Do this to a small vase and use on a vanity as a make up brush holder
