Does anyone have any advice?

Updated on April 3, 2010

Does anyone have any advice?

First, I have to explain.  I get up at 5:15 am every weekday.  I drive my husband to work, then I come home and get ready to go to my job. I start at 7:30 and work till 5:00 3 days a week. Two days a week I'm off at 12:30.  I am very detailed and organized at work, but never feel like cleaning my place.  I usually feel tired and lazy.  Although, if I have something to do that is creative- I seemed to have the energy.  My husband only helps sometimes and he thinks that I should do it.  I like a clean place but really don't want to do it.  I always think if I didn't work at a job then I would clean and be more organized.  Any tips?

Sounds like you may be resenting having to go to work. I am going through something very similar and I know I would much rather do my creative work than my fulltime job. My resentment is for the routine of going to work. I like my job but I think I would be more enthused about life in general if I could work when I want to!

Hi sky321, This is a good one. I am tidy. It gets 'old' cleaning up especially after others. I like tidy so I do it. How about you take a room, hubby take a room since you both work. When he gets it perfect (kidding) you will do something special for him. You take a room and when you get it perfect he does something special for you.(-: Simple things. Like rub your back for 10 minutes or pack a lunch. Take the same room on the same day. Go one room at a time 30 minutes per room?? It will be a JOINT adventure. You both will have clean. I do not know where this came from. I just made it up as I was going along.

It is great to meet another sky. Come over for a read or two. I have joined your club. Keep me posted on your organization. Hugs.

Hi Sky321...last I checked hubbies are not immune to housework...when both people are working it only makes sense that both should share in the household duties...seems like Hubby needs "To Do List" to help you...especially when you are working as well...

      Blessings

Lol! I try to make to do lists. We just don't stick to them.
