Grandma Early's Super Golden Meatballs . A Fantasy Story

Updated on November 7, 2014

AUTHORS NOTES : I am one thousand percent Italian so I love meatballs , and spaghetti every single day of my life if I could cook as great as my mama did. My Fantasy story is not being critical of my Italian culture just because it happens to be about meatballs. My family has been American citizens for more than a hundred, and fifty years. I am driving to the store to buy some beans, and maybe even some cans of Spaghetti gravy. I can not make a decent meatball like my mama did to save my life. Our daughter loves pasta with ravioli's. Maybe I need to attend " The School Of Meatball Making." Upon graduation I would like to receive one hundred pounds of frozen ground chuck in one pound bags , and another kitchen to make only the finest meatballs in the universe.

At 7:00 A.M. every morning except on Saturdays, and Sundays Mr.s Early wakes up to have breakfast served to her in her bed. She is one hundred and twenty nine years old. She can barely walk, but she can still do so with the help of her two young great grand sons from her grand children Sarah, and Joseph. The two boys, or men that guard her, are well built, karate trained young gentlemen that have permits to carry nickle plated forty five revolvers with pearl handles as concealed weapons in their shoulder holsters.

Mr.s Early is the part family owner of a five hundred trillion dollar industry that produces the most important product in the entire world . She has the licenses, the rights, the copyrights, the papers, and total legal ownership of " THE GOLDEN MEATBALLS." When Mr.s Early was thirteen years old she helped her mother cook delicious pasta gravy for her eight brothers, and three sisters every Sunday.

One Sunday morning while one hundred, and fifty meatballs were simmering in her mother's pot of tomato gravy from a two hundred year old recipe, our little darling Early reached into the pot of gravy with a fork and stuck it deep into a perfectly round meatball , and placed it on a lovely plate. Little Miss Early walked to the kitchen table to sit down to eat it ,but she slipped down on the floor because she accidentally tripped over her little brother Micheal's model airplane he was gluing together . On the floor as he worked on his hobby, little Micheal was building a beautiful model T 6 Texan Airplane, exactly like the aircraft that the United States Air Force was using during World War 2 .

Little Micheal had a tiny tea cup filled with gold paint, and he intended to apply a thin coat of it on the under belly toy bombs of his model B 52 airplane that he finished building from a kit that his mama bought at a department store. His sister Early fell down, but the meatball she had in her plate flew into the air , and it landed right square into the center of Micheal's gold paint.

Little Early said, " Wow ! my meatball looks different because it is dripping with gold paint, and red gravy." Little Micheal said, " Why don't we tell mother to cook a recipe of gold tomato gravy to see how the meatballs will look ." Little Early said, " Do you think mother would waist ten pounds of delicious ground beef to put another one hundred and fifty meatballs in a ridiculous gold gravy ? "

Micheal said, " Why not, mother is just as game as we are sister . She use to be a hard core Bingo player at church socials. Our mother is more exciting than you think she is. "

Well as it turned out, it took the family and entire year to perfect and edible tomato gravy that looked the color of gold, but tasted like mother's miracle gravy that was kept under lock, and key in a wall safe behind a picture of the singer Tom Jones, and the recipe for golden meatballs simmering in golden gravy was created also. The first one million batches were produced from Little Miss Early's mother's kitchen. The family made a fortune in real gold because tycoons that were billionaire oil people purchased fifty percent of every pot of gravy with meatballs that mother could ever produce. Each pot of the golden gravy with the delicious golden meatballs was frozen , and half of it took long trips on ocean cruise ships across the fantastic blue seas to all parts of the world .

A large part of mother's gold gravy also went to people all over America , that wanted good food. Mother always gave food to poor people too. Money was not mother's God.

Mother did not live forever. She passed on, and probably went to Heaven because she was not and extravagant spender of money on useless things. She took care of her good husband who was kind, and respectful to her all the days of their marriage. She was good to all people, and never thought she was better than anyone else .

The family made oodles of money over many years. Little Miss Early , mother's oldest daughter took over where mother left off, and built a golden meatball empire worth five hundred trillions dollars. The food fed people in countries everywhere in the world. Golden meatballs were put in cans, and jars, and were shipped world wide, and Little Miss Early paid for most of the shipping , and handling for it to go to many wonderful places as well. She also made other foods with gravies likes stews with potatoes ,and shipped them everywhere as well.

" What good is money if you have no soul , " she would say.

Little Mr.s Early was very old as her two great grandchildren helped her into her wheelchair, and pusher her into one of the family's enormous buildings that had many fine workers. Little Mr.s Early paid her workers well, and everyone was treated with great respect, and with dignity just like a good business is supposed to take care of it's people .

Then one morning while she was sleeping she saw a beautiful wonderful place where everyone wore white. There was no furniture, or obstacles for her to bump into with her motorized wheelchair because where she was was where there were no wheelchairs at all.

And Little Mr.s Early who had been a widow for many long years finally saw her husband again. And she had the most beautiful wonderful smile on her face when she hugged him in Heaven because that is where they were. He was tall, young, and handsome just like the day when they first fell in love one hundred, and ten years ago. She was nineteen , and he was twenty one.

God Bless Everyone
