Green Cleaning Your Toliet

Updated on July 24, 2011

How to Clean a Toilet Naturally

The secret to having a clean looking toilet without harsh chemicals has probably been in your cupboard all this time. Have you tried White Vinegar?

White Vinegar is the all natural ingredients made from products considered organic. Many people think toxic chemicals like bleach and strong household cleaners would be more effective because they have strong bactericidal properties that sterilize, when the white vinegar can be just as effective.

Pour White Vinegar in Your Toilet

If your toilet has really bad stains let the vinegar sit for a while and then use a toilet cleaning brush to scrub away the rust.

Put White Vinegar into a Spray Bottle

Use this to spray the rim of your toilet and your toilet seat. Spray some vinegar on your bathroom counter tops and your shower. Watch how it dissolves away mineral deposits. Spray with water or wipe away clean.Vinegar is all Natural and used in many foods.

Let the vinegar do the Work For You

Since vinegar is acidic, it will dissolve away mineral deposits. This is especially useful if you have well water that contains a lot of mineral in your water. The minerals accumulate in your toilet bowl and that is how you end up with rusty looking stains.

Where Do I Find White Vinegar?

Vinegar is usually not located near other household cleaners, but right along side of other grocery items like salad dressing.

Thank you Mr. Plasma. There are so many people still using toxic chemicals and it is really not necessary. I try to stick to the alternatives that work!
