How to Grow and care for a For a Money Tree Plant
Money tree (Jade) is one plant I like growing too because it is easy to grow and needs very little care but it gives me pleasure especially when it starts to flower.
The money tree I have has flowered maybe four times now. The colour of the flower is pinkish white. Admittedly, the flowers bloom only once in a year but it's worth waiting for. Ah it's beautiful to look at. It took a while before it produced its lovely flowers but it is so amazing to look at. I did not even know money plant can flower but it did. One day it might bring me money too.
Here is how to grow Money Tree (Jade) plant:
1. Prepare a pot with multipurpose compost.
2.Take a cutting or a leaf from an existing Money Tree Plant and stick it on the pot with compost.
3.You can even grow from just one leaf or three, just dip half of each leaf in the pot with compost and watch it grow.
4.Then just water it once a week, but don't over water it.
5.It needs feeding with baby bio once in a while.
Jade-Symbol of Money
Money Tree– once it's established just needs water and baby bio liquid fertiliser (that's what I use for my indoor plants) now and again. Just make sure you don't over water them, they don't want much to drink. So easy to grow and look after. It looks after itself really once you put it in the pot with compost. If it outgrows it's pot then it is time to put it in a bigger pot. Sometimes you have to be careful because the leaves and branches are quite heavy so it is better to take off some of it. What I did with mine, I cut off some branches and planted it to another pot and it grew so I gave it to my neighbour.
