HotelSpa Insta-mount Adjustable Spiral 3-way Combo Shower Head

Updated on October 12, 2015

Why I Need a New Shower Head

We have 2 full bathrooms in my house. The shower head in my own bathroom is a little worn out, but not awful. The one down the hall in the guest bath however seems ancient, but it's never been a priority for me to change it until recently. Now that I have a toddler, she still takes baths, but she fights with me every time we need to rinse her hair. It makes me dread bath time... she has tons of fun in there playing with her toys until she sees me filling the Tupperware container to rinse her hair.

I've been looking for a decent shower head with an extra attachment that will come off so I can easily rinse her hair. The problem is that they can be expensive! I'm so glad I found this HotelSpa version at Lowes. It was the perfect solution for us.

The Installation

I was excited when our new shower head arrived in the mail. I unpacked the box while my husband ran around looking for Teflon tape. Luckily, the shower head came with a roll which we were pleasantly surprised abut (and relieved that we didn't need to make an extra trip to the store).

My husband swears he read the directions for the shower head even though I didn't see him do it. My daughter tried to help by giving them to him while he was putting it in (photo below of her helping). Either way, he had no problem putting it in, it took about 10-15 minutes total from when I opened the box to when the water was running and the shower head was working.

Bath Time is Happy Once Again

Right after the new shower head was installed we tried in out - sucess! We gave my daughter a bath right away and she was so much happier with the detachable shower head rinsing her hair. I feel like bath time is happy once again and we can concentrate on having a good time rather than dreading rinsing her hair.

Below are photos of the shower head with the water running and without. I wish I had taken a "before" photo so you could see what a difference this actually makes in our bathroom. It's like having a hotel shower head at home!
