How To Make Airdry Clay Trinket Dishes: DIY Project
Airdry clay can be used for a couple of different things. One of the ways is to make clay dishes, which can be used to store your little trinkets on your table. You don't have to ever worry about losing them now.
Things You Will Need
For this project, here are a couple of supplies you will need:
- Airdry Clay
- Bowl
- Knife
- Rolling Pin
- Water
- Sandpaper
- Any food color
- Gold Paint (Optional)
- Mod Podge
Instructions for Making Airdry Clay Dishes
Step 1.
Start by taking a small amount of airdry clay and put around 10 drops of the food color and mix it well till you get your desired color.
Step 2.
Once you get your desired color, mix it with the remaining air dry clay and roll is out flat using a glass bottle or a rolling pin.
Step 3.
Take a bowl and cut out the rolled clay.
Step 4.
Smooth the edges out using water. Place the rolled clay onto the glass bowl. Let it dry in 24-48 hours.
Step 5.
Once dry, smooth out the edges using sandpaper.
Step 6.
Paint the edges gold, and cover the dish with mod podge for extra protection.
