If you’ve ever considered juicing, then you owe it to yourself to find the best juicer or juice extractor your money. Juicing fruits and vegetables allows you to increase your daily intake of these essential foods, providing you with an abundance of healthful nutrients. We all know we need to be consuming more fruits and vegetables, but the truth is most Americans fall far short of the recommended daily servings.

If you have been a health enthusiast for any length of time, you’ve already heard of the inspirational Jack LaLanne. Jack LaLanne is a pioneer among the fitness and health aficionados and now his Jack LaLanne Power Juicer is available to help you follow the path to a healthier lifestyle. The Jack LaLanne Power Juicer provides quality performance with a whisper quiet 3,600 RPM induction motor and patented extraction technology. The extra large chute makes juicing whole pieces of fruits and vegetables fast and convenient. Most fruits and vegetables don’t even need to be cut, but those that do, generally only require a quick halving to fit in the 3” wide-mouth chute. This juicer produces fresh juice quickly and easily!

The Benefits of Juicing

Healthy and Conventient Juicing

The amount of juice you get from a juicer will depend on many factors, including the ripeness and size of the fruit. However, you can expect to get about 30% more juice with the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer.

It’s easy to operate, you simply place your glass or a small pitcher under the spout and begin adding whole fruits and vegetables into the large chute. Gently and slowly, press the food with the pusher and the juicer extracts delicious, all-natural juice in seconds. A nice break from store bought juice, you can create your own varieties with no artificial sugar or preservatives. And, if you have wanted to try a wheatgrass juicer, you will discover the many health benefits of wheatgrass juice as well.

The patented extraction technology helps protect the nutrients and enzymes of the juice while automatically collecting the pulp in an extra-large, detachable pulp catcher. This pulp makes an excellent addition to your everyday cooking.

Fruit pulp can be added to muffins, quick breads and cookies for an extra boost of nutrition and fiber. If you like zucchini or carrot bread, but don’t like the hassle of grating, simply juice the vegetables and use the pulp in your breads. Most vegetable pulp makes an excellent addition to soup bases and of course, carrot and celery pulp is delicious added to turkey burgers. There’s certainly no need for the pulp to go to waste.

Juicer Recipes

Here are a couple of delicious recipes to get you started with your Jack LaLanne Power Juicer:

~ Delicious Bountiful Berries ~

2 cups blackberries

1 cup blueberries

1 cup raspberries

Wash berries and place in the chute, use the pusher to guide the berries.

Berries provide an abundance of antioxidants which help protect us from heart disease and cancer. A delicious, easy and healthy juice in seconds!

Vegetables are loaded with nutrients and antioxidants.

~ Lean Green ~

4 carrots

2 celery stalks

Spinach (1 handful)

Kale (1 handful)

Wash the vegetables thoroughly and cut off the carrot tops before juicing. Use organic produce to avoid pesticides which contain heavy metals like lead and arsenic and other carcinogens. If you are not using organic produce, it’s best to peel the vegetables. Pesticides typically remain in the skin.

Spinach and kale provide lutein and zeaxanthin, two antioxidants that promote eye health by protecting the eyes from free readicals in UV light. This helps prevent cataracts, glaucoma and age related macular degeneration.

Spinach and kale also provide an abundance of vitamin C, even more than oranges. Vitamin C is essential for the proper functioning of the immune system and helps reduce inflammation and pain caused by arthritis.

How to clean your Jack LaLanne Power Juicer

To keep the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer working efficiently, you’ll need to be sure that you clean it thoroughly after each use. This is easy and should be done immediately after juicing.

  • To clean the juicer, be sure the Power is OFF and the motor has completely stopped before you begin to disassemble the unit. Unplug the juicer from the AC wall outlet.
  • Disassemble the juicer. Clean the pusher, cover, pulp collector bin and pulp guard in warm soapy water. Rinse well.
  • Any stains on the plastic can be removed by applying a little white vinegar or lemon juice with a soft cloth. Gently wipe over the stains.
  • Hold the filter and blade under warm running water and gently wash with a soft bristle brush to remove any pulp. Rinse under warm running water.
  • Dry all parts thoroughly and reassemble the juicer. Plug it in and turn it ON to allow any excess water to spin out. Use a damp cloth to wipe the outside of the base. Allow to dry completely before storing.
  • For those of us who lead busy lives, the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer makes it fast and convenient to include the healthy benefits of juicing. It’s also a fun and easy way to get your kids to consume more fruits and veggies.

The leftovers served as fertilizers in my garden before I read this, as I didn't remove the outer skin like my cucumber, apple, carrots. Now I put plastic bag as catcher to the pulp because I want separate pulps for my soup. It works with my carrots and apples.

My juicer, as I said earlier isn't like JL's. It gives wet pulp I use for anything I can perceive of like soups for one. Thank you for sharing this.

Hi Lita, I hope you like some of these uses for the leftover pulp. I think it's kind of wasteful to just dump it as well, this way you have another healthy option to utilize the leftovers. Let me know how you like it.

I saw on TV Jack Lalanne's power juicer and the pulp is near dry. Mine is not JL's but it serves the juicing purpose and it's great. I always feel that the resulting pulp is a kind of waste. Now I'll try your suggestions- for my soup. Great idea!
