Beautiful courtyard for a beautiful home, it’s a dream for the king of land. But the problem is my land is only in 5 cents. In this I have occupied a 1500 sq feet home too, then landscaping? Completely ridiculous!!! Then where to do this landscaping? Do you know my dear friend; landscaping for your small courtyard is a new trend.

You can create your landscape in various shapes. There is no necessity for leveling your courtyard. Let the land structure be free in its own shape. So your landscape will spread on cutting and on small prominence. Make small pathways, ponds even artificial knolls in your courtyard, absolutely it will look great. Just plan and design before you begin. Sketch your courtyard in a sheet paper and make corrections and improvements in your sheet. It will be helpful for you to make good courtyard land design plan.

The weather conditions, seasonal changes and especially your life style are important factors for the long lasting landscape. For passion adopting chinese and japanese styles are not good, because the sesonal changes may affect. Don’t use styles of hotels and resorts, your courtyard should natural and should be original.

Why landscaping?

The duty of landscaping is to blend our home to nature. Landscaped courtyard usually known as ‘outdoor living space’. It shouldn't be a just beautiful place; landscape reduces soil erosion, dangerous threat to nature. Landscaping is also useful to increase the water level below earth surface.

Concrete and cement tiles used courtyard will increase the temperature of home. If trees exist in the courtyard without cutting them we can do the landscaping. Gardening in the landscape will be mind blowing experience. You can enjoy the landscape for the leisure time; playground for children, best meeting place for our relatives and family members.

Preparing the area

You should take care for the soil properties of the land for preparing landscape. Salty based soil, mud, stones; hard laterite soils are not suitable for landscaping. You can easily do soil test in it. You need to excavate at least half feet on the land then fill it with soil and plant grass in it. Otherwise till the land and get rid of the wastes and plant the grass. Use sands in the soil and put natural fertilizers. Don’t let water to stay and keep the grass free from ants and termites.

Types of landscaping

Landscaping is of two types, heavy landscaping and normal landscaping. Landscaping with pathways, pools, ponds and water fountains is known as heavy landscaping. It will cost more. Cutting and small knolls using waste material and waste domestic elements and gradually planting grass on it is known as normal landscaping.

Regular care, fertilization are essential elements for successful landscaping. Courier grass, buffalo grass and Mexican grass are the recent trends. For gardening you can plant anthurium, orchid flowers on sides of landscape. Small rocks, pebbles, paving blocks and ponds are making more attraction.

How we can protect?

Planted the grass, everything okay mind is not worth good. You should provide systematic care for landscape. Termites and fungus infections are enemies for us. So, regular usage of insecticide is must. For the existence of greenery provide additional water resources in summer season. Remove weed on from its roots. And cut on a regular basis. Sprinklers are more preferable for soaking.
