Looking for a Durable Circular Saw

Updated on April 5, 2011

Shopping for saws

Maybe it is time to shop for a new circular saw. You will see a lot of products out there. Do you want a strong, durable, unit that is a real workhorse? The Hitachi C7SB2 is well worth looking at. I have had this saw for a year and it is an excellent tool.

It is very good bevel adjustments. It is well-made. The saw unit is cast from one piece of aluminum. You can change the depth of the cut with a lever flip. The grip is soft and easy on your hand.

At present is sells at Amazon, Lowes, and Sears. It is around $90 at Amazon and Lowes. This is when you add shipping to the Amazon price and sales tax to Lowes. It sells for $99 at Sears. This is before sales tax.

I have read through a lot of online reviews. They are all very good. Many people, myself included, give it 5 of 5 stars. They average rating is 4.6 of 5. This is very good for any product. I love the way that it handles so smoothly. It is balanced very well and feels good to the touch.

It is made to last a long time. If you need to change brushes, it is easy. There is an access panel on each side of the case. There is no need to take the whole thing apart and fight the new brush install.
