My Online Shopping Experience With

Updated on April 17, 2015

So this article is going to be about my shopping experience with I think this article would be more relevant to Indian readers because this website which I am taking about is operated in India and they ship their products only to India.

You would think why am I writing an article on this website.

Here is the reason. Online shopping sector in India has seen a tremendous growth in the past few years and everybody is moving towards online shopping. I am one among those online shoppers and I try to buy everything online. I have bought many products online like mobile phone, computer components, cosmetics and so on. But all these things are regular. But I haven't bought a live plant through online shopping.

So now I bought a live plant through online shopping and this is the reason why I am writing this article.

Before purchasing a live plant online, I had many questions in my mind. Like how would they ship a plant, will it come in a package or will it come planted in a pot, how will they water it in shipping, will the plant survive when it reaches me.

I think you would also have the same doubts about this.

So when I thought of buying the plant I didn't find enough resources to clarify my doubt. I think my experience would benefit someone.

The plant which I was planning to buy was known as Costus Igneus. It is also known as Insulin plant. It is said that when the leaves of the plant are consumed it produces insulin in the body naturally. This would be of great help for diabetic patients. My father is a diabetic patient so I wanted to try this plant. I will later write a detailed review about this plant.

I found this plant sold in websites like, and I finally chose to buy it in because it was the cheapest among them.

Now I got a worried about the genuineness of the website. Then I finally placed my order.

I received the plant on the 14th day from the day of ordering.

This is how the package looks.

Sender's Address

After opening the top layer of the package.

After removing outer package.

This plant has been in transit and in packed condition for the past 4 days. But the plant didn't dry and it survived the journey.

The plant has finally reached me successfully.

Have You Ever Bought A Live Plant Online ?
