Scratches and scuff marks on VCT floor-What to do

Some have asked this common question.

We have VCT tile floor. It still has lots of shine, but has lots of scratches and scuff marks.

Do I need to strip and wax floor again?

The answer is no.

You could follow these steps instead of stripping and waxing.

1: Dust mop floor.

2: Dilute neutral PH floor cleaning solution about 3 to 4 oz per gallon of water into a bucket of clean water and lightly mop the floor.

3: Use a floor buffer with a red buffing pad and lightly run over the area to remove scratches and scuff marks.

4: Rinse floor with clean water.

5: Let the floor dry.

6: Burnish floor with high speed burnisher with either a white pad or other burnishing pad you have.

Note: Optional: You may use a product such as "TOP GUARD" (Try search this name at Google search site for more information) to give you more shine on the floor.

You can also use spray buffing solution when you are burnishing the floor.

If you do not have a high speed burnisher, you can buff with your floor buffer with a white pad, but you will get very little shine out of it and it will take a long time to cover a large area.
