Cleaning With Citrus

By just using two simple ingredients you can;

Save dollars by making your own household cleaner.

It is inexpensive and effective

Simple to make

Environmentally Safe , because it is all natural with no harsh chemicals added.

I believe it is safe to say. I can now spray this new to me Citrus Cleaner and clean my house with out having to put on a gas mask. I have in the past have had times when I sprayed one kind of cleaner or another, immediately start coughing and sneezing and for the next day or two feel like have a cold, when all the while it is from inhaling chemicals..I assume anyway.

The added bonus for me is it Smells great. I love the smell of orange as well as lemon.

Orange Peel/Vinegar Cleaner

Orange You Glad For Home Made Cleaners?

Using a jar or container with a lid (I use a quart size mason jar) whatever you have on hand will be fine.

Pack jar or container with orange or lemon peels. (you can use any citrus peel, grapefruit or lime)

Fill the jar with white vinegar.

Put the lid on and let it steep for two weeks.

After two weeks, fill a spray bottle half full of water . Strain and add the orange/lemon vinegar to fill spray bottle..the ratio is 50% water to 50% solution.

The end result a powerful do it yourself cleaner.

Citrus Vinegar Natural Cleaning, you can use vinegar straight or dilute it in different proportions, the greatest degreasing is full strength, it doesn't smell

Safe To Use

This solution is made up of all natural ingredients. No chemicals and no longer smells of vinegar. In fact it smells really good.

It can be used in the kitchen , on the floor, counters, cabinets, sink and fixtures.

In the bathroom, on tile, toilet, sink etc.

It will remove soap scum.

Its great on glass, mirrors, windows as well as tub and shower doors.

Deodorize your trash can by giving it quick short spray..

Say bye bye to germs as it is anti~bacterial.

Be sure to label your bottle. Although it is safe to use it's a good idea to know what is in any bottle....

Mopping The Floors

Okay..I admit it..I am gullible and fall for many of the as seen on tv ads. There are so many and they are all so inviting..you just know that the item being shown is going to change your life for better...

I even use my home made citrus cleaner in my Hurricane Spin Mop...It leaves my floors clean shiny, and smelling fresh.

This sounds like an awesome idea. For several months now I've been using water, vinegar and some herbs from my porch to clean, but it still just smells like vinegar to me (which I have actually grown accustomed to and prefer over the smell of gross chemicals). However, a cleaner with a nice citrusy smell would be awesome! Can't wait to give this a try. Thanks for sharing this tip!
