Cleaning Secrets-with the results!
Tackling the Chair
First I decided I would tackle the chair, it seemed like the quickest fix.
I took my Magic Eraser, dampened the corner of it. (I didn't want to get the chair real wet) I went to the chair, and scrubbed on each paint spot for a few seconds. Most of the paint came off, but because of the fabric there is still a little paint deeper in the material of the chair. Over all I was pleased with the performance of the Magic Eraser on this project. The pictures I took for this project weren't very clear, so I won't post them.
Cleaning the Oven
My oven is 3 years old, and I have never cleaned the inside of it before. I know, gross right? Well, until now it just seemed like a tedious task I didn't even want to think about tackling.
How often do you clean your oven?
The Cleaning Process for the Oven
1. I made my mix, which was:
5 Tablespoons Arm &Hammer Washing Soda (Can be just baking soda, but I was out and had to improvise)
5 Tablespoons Vinegar
2 Tablespoons Dish soap
Mix all ingredients together, but make sure you have a decent sized bowl. It doesn't sound like much, but it really does foam up.
2. Next you take a sponge, and start rubbing down the inside of the oven. Let that sit for about 30 minutes.
3. After 30 minutes, start scrubbing with a heavy duty non scratching scrub sponge. Some spots will come off easy, and others will require a little elbow grease.
I think it's a very simple project to do, it doesn't take as much time as the overnight oven cleaners. The results were great. I did however have to do the door, and one spot on the inside a second time. I don't think that's bad because I had gone so long without cleaning it.
